Taylor Woodrow (VINCI Construction UK Ltd), EcoPark South Project for the initiative Social Value Impact

Exceeding its social value target at the EcoPark South Project, Taylor Woodrow (TW) has achieved £9.1m of social value (£1.6m over and above its goal) through its plans to boost opportunities in the local community. As part of the project commissioned by North London Waste Authority, TW worked in partnership with its supply chain to raise £13k for local charities; support local businesses equivalent to 18.6% of subcontract spend; create opportunities for hundreds of local people through apprenticeship, training and employment schemes; and engage with schools and local community groups through 380 hours of career mentoring and 140 hours of volunteering. Testament to TW’s commitment to over deliver in social value, it’s true to say the initiative has left a positive legacy in the community.
