PBC Ltd, for the initiative: “PBC Workforce Mental Health”

To help tackle the ongoing mental health epidemic in construction, PBC are proactively taking steps to dispel traditional stereotypes and support its staff in the early prevention of mental ill-health. To encourage its individuals to feel comfortable in opening up and talking about their mental wellbeing, the team at PBC have developed a series of initiatives including: launching a new poster campaign; delivering monthly mental health reminders via the company’s WhatsApp group; promoting links to the Lighthouse Charity, Mental Health Ireland and the LAYA Employee Assistance Programme; and investing in its network of Mental Health First Aiders. The initiative also inspired a fundraiser event for a mental health charity, that saw 15 members of staff abseil Thomond Park Stadium to raise 6000 euro.
