PBC Ltd School for the initiative Grounds Immersion

Supporting the historic Our Lady’s Abbey Girls School, PBC rallied together to help maintain its grounds following the early retirement of the school janitor who had become ill. Under pressure with various maintenance issues, PBC approached the school following its involvement in an extension project to assist. The team came together to develop a plan that included removing a level change which was in a bad state of repair; rehoming fish and filling in a pond which had become a safety issue; cleaning an adjoining graveyard; and inspiring pupils with a ‘Women in Construction’ poster competition. Demonstrating its commitment to support the local community, the team have created a safe, engaging and easily maintained outdoor area for students to enjoy.
