Multiplex Construction Europe, One Nine Elms, for the initiative: “Championing neurodiversity in construction”

Championing neurodiversity in construction, Multiplex have partnered with UK charity ThinkForward to deliver a Neurodiverse Work Experience Programme to empower students with additional learning needs to consider a career in the industry. The Programme offers an inclusive learning environment with each lesson carefully designed to improve confidence, communication and teamwork, whilst supporting the difficulties neurodiverse individuals can face with language, content, fonts and colours. Through the development and delivery of the programme, Multiplex have made strides in training its staff and promoting diversity at all levels of its business. Having completed 3 successful cohorts with 1 student already enrolled in a construction course at college, the company hopes to offer traineeships, apprenticeships and employment opportunities to more students in the future.
