Multiplex Construction Europe Ltd, One Leadenhall, for the initiative: “Enhancing Biodiversity”

Taking action to protect and enhance biodiversity, Multiplex launched a company-wide competition to encourage teams to think about ecological issues and challenge them on who could deliver the biggest biodiversity net gain. The competition saw teams devise ways to enrich the local biodiversity, get involved in volunteering days, and partner with external organisations such as the RSPB to improve wildlife habitats. The commitment demonstrated by the winning team on the One Leadenhall Project team was exemplary; initiatives included enhancing the planting at the entrance of its central London site, installing a bug hotel, and engagement with the wider project teams through toolbox talks. With excellent collaboration and creativity, the competition helped raise awareness and understanding of the impact we can have on improving biodiversity.
