Morgan Sindall Infrastructure Ltd, Sprint Route (A45) for the initiative Environmental Impact Reduction Initiative

Striving to make a difference in combating global climate change, Morgan Sindall Infrastructure had ambitious plans to deliver energy efficient solutions and create a new standard in carbon reduction for its A45 Sprint Corridor Project. Appointing a Sprint Carbon Champion (SCC) to drive success and raise awareness through site training, and by working in conjunction with its supply chain, the project has created a model for environmental excellence, achieving a carbon saving of 79,901.04kg. By prohibiting diesel generators and using hybrid and fuel-free plant and equipment, including the UK’s first Net Zero CCTV system and low energy welfare units, the initiative has left a lasting legacy in energy efficiency and carbon reduction for future sites to emulate.
