John Sisk & Son Ltd, for the initiative: “Sisk Christmas Toys”

John Sisk & Son’s annual Christmas Toy initiative transforms its training centre into a Santa’s workshop to craft high quality wooden toys for children’s hospitals and charities across Ireland, the UK and Europe. The toys are all handmade by apprentice carpenters and joiners, supported by project teams from across the business and beyond, rallying the support of its suppliers. Beneficiaries of the 2022 initiative include: a refugee group in York; Swinoe Community Centre in Leeds; and playschools in Essex and Oxford. Spreading the Christmas spirit and bringing a little magic into children’s lives who might otherwise go without, this toy initiative has made a huge impact and created memories for children and their families that will last a lifetime.
