JJ Rhatigan Ltd, The Landing, Maidenhead for the initiative “Women In”

Inspiring the next generation of females looking for a rewarding career in construction, JJ Rhatigan wanted to place a spotlight on the opportunities for women in construction. Working with Newland Girls School, JJ Rhatigan put together a “Women In” talk using its project at The Landing as an example; the site consists of 15% women, much higher than the average, many of whom are in senior positions. The talk included a panel discussion with representatives from The Landing project and Maidenhead United’s Women’s Football Club, to share career options and insights. Since the talk the school has asked the team to return for another session and JJ Rhatigan are welcoming a work experience student inspired by what she heard on the day.
