EQUANS Regeneration Ltd, University of Birmingham, for the initiative: “Pritchatts Park Village Project”

Prioritising physical and mental wellbeing at its University of Birmingham Pritchatts Park project, Equans strives to ensure its workforce are looked after. Building modern ecofriendly welfare cabins, its staff can benefit from a large canteen, accessible toilets, drying room, showers, prayer room, first aid room, and a chill out area for those who need a quiet space. Enlisting a Workforce Champion to drive forward wellbeing initiatives, Equans have introduced: mental health and wellbeing days with trained practitioners; a welcome guide with helpful information for workers new to the area; laundry facilities for those working away from home; and team building events. These initiatives have been welcomed and highly praised by its workforce and has inspired similar programmes across other projects.
