Canary Wharf Contractors Ltd for the initiative East London Business Place

To help stimulate growth in the local community and support Small to Medium Sized business (SMEs), East London Business Place (ELBP) led by the Canary Wharf Group and East London Business Alliance Charity has launched 2 new ‘Ready to Supply’ programmes. Providing day-to-day support from its field and outreach team, ELBP delivers training, networking and meet-the-buyer sessions to help guide SMEs through the procurement process and improve their bidding competitiveness. The success of the project has seen the creation of the South London Procurement Network (SLPN) funded by Braeburn Estates Joint Venture. Laying the foundations for over 5,000 local businesses to succeed, many from BAME-led (51%) and female-led (40%) backgrounds, since its inception ELBP and SLPN have helped businesses win £698m in contracts and created 400+ jobs.
