Andrew Widdowson, Meldrum Construction Services Ltd, for the initiative: “Yarm Preparatory School Block C”

Demonstrating a genuine commitment to support the community, Andrew Widdowson’s exemplary efforts have made a positive difference to residents in and around the Yarm Preparatory School project. Due to the public facing site, it was important to Andrew, Project Manager for Meldrum Construction to present a positive image of the project. Undertaking numerous events and fundraisers over and above his remit, Andrew has worked hard to engage with the community during his working day and on a voluntary basis. Examples of his work include: securing funding for a volunteer run rugby club that suffered a break-in, inspiring children from local schools with talks and careers events; managing a hoarding design competition for children; and rallying the public to donate to a homeless charity in the run-up to Christmas.
