Ambit Moat Ltd, 163-203 Eversholt Street, for the initiative: “Reducing Plastic Waste”

Giving life to unwanted items, Ambit Moat embarked on a commendable project to reduce plastic waste and reuse existing resources instead of purchasing new ones at its Eversholt refurbishment project. When the site was acquired, the building contained a range of fixtures and fittings left behind by previous tenants, including: furniture, electrical items, carpet tiles and pallet trucks. Ambit’s approach was to repurpose unwanted items carefully removed from the strip-out areas and incorporate them into the final build, rehoming anything else to charities and community groups. Ensuring project teams were briefed from the outset was critical in fostering a circular mindset, and by doing so reduced waste that would have ended up at landfill, delivered long-term benefits to the recipients, and brought environmental considerations to the forefront.
