What Is involved for contractors
You can register as a site or an organisation. See the 'Which Registration?' section below to find out which one applies to you.
Construction activity registered with the Scheme is committed to conform with the Code of Considerate Practice. By respecting the community, caring for the environment and valuing your workforce, you can help improve the impact of the construction industry and leave a positive legacy.
As part of your registration a Scheme Monitor will visit your construction activity/organisation to establish your level of conformance with the Code. In order to inform the public and your workforce that your construction activity/organisation is registered with the Scheme, you will be provided with a number of items showing the Scheme’s Public Support contact details and Site Manager’s contact details. All construction activity/organisations registered with the Scheme must display a public-facing banner and poster.Â
You will receive a monitoring visit twice a year. After each visit, we provide you with a report assessing your performance against the Code of Considerate Practice which also highlights areas for improvement.
To help you manage your journey of improvement, you will have access to our Insights Dashboard where you can track your performance.
Our Public Support team provides a service for anyone to contact us if they have a concern or feedback about a construction activity.
We also host a National Awards programme, which recognise and celebrate those excelling in being a considerate constructor.
What is involved for suppliers
You can register as a supplier if you supply materials, equipment, or both for temporary hire to construction sites.
Scheme-registered suppliers are committed to meeting the standards set out in the Code.
As part of your registration, a Scheme Monitor will visit your organisation to establish your level of performance against the Scheme’s Code of Considerate Practice. In order to inform the public and your workforce that you are registered with the Scheme you will be provided with a number of items showing the Scheme’s Public Support contact details.
We will provide you with a minimum of one monitoring visit in each registration period and, depending on the number of registered depots you have, we will conduct additional depot visits. After these visits, we will provide you with a report assessing your performance against the Code which also highlights improvement areas.Â
To help you manage your journey you will have access to our online Insights Dashboard, where you can track your performance.
Our Public Support team provides a service for anyone to contact us if they have a concern or feedback about a construction activity.
We also host a National Awards programme, which recognise and celebrate those excelling in being a considerate constructor.
What is an Ultra Site?
We offer Ultra Site Registration for main contractors who aim to be industry leaders. Ultra Sites commit to achieving a percentage of their total spend on their supply chain being registered with the Scheme.
Ultra Sites receive additional monitoring and dedicated registration products, and have their own awards category in our annual national awards programme.

Which registration?
Register a site:
If you are managing a construction site that is 12 weeks or more in duration, you can sign up as a Registered Site.
Register an organisation:
If you are the main contractor and you would like to cover all of your sub-contractor activity and sites under 12 weeks in duration.
Or
If your turnover is less than £3.5m (this will cover all of your construction activity).
About monitoring and scoring
When registering with the Scheme you will receive relevant products for your organisation or site to display, based on your registration type. You may also purchase additional products to meet your specific needs.

How to use the Scheme's onsite signage
When you register with the Scheme you will receive a variety of materials to display, which are included in the registration fee.
Registration posters and banners included in your registration fee must be displayed at the perimeter of the site, generally at site entrance points and around your construction site or organisation, to let the public and workforce know that the construction activity is registered with the Scheme.Â
Additional materials to display across construction activity are also available to purchase separately.

Registration fees are based on your project contract value.Â
The Scheme’s registration options cover all types of construction activity being undertaken. This means that we can provide the right level of support, whether you are undertaking a large or small construction project, or supplying a site.
Our registration fees are tailored to the size and type of your activity, whether you are registering as a main contractor, sub-contractor, supplier, or site.

WHAT are the different REGISTRATION TYPES?
- Site registration – main contractors or joint ventures of construction sites of 12 weeks or longer
- Organisation registration for main contractors and sub-contractors – main contractors of sites less than 12 weeks in duration or sub-contractors undertaking construction activities and suppliers of fixed rental equipment
- Organisation registration for suppliers – suppliers of materials or temporary-hire equipmentÂ
Contractor and Supplier Partners
Contractor and Supplier Partners commit to registering all of their construction activity with the Scheme. Â
You will have access to the Insights Dashboard which allows you to access all Scheme-relevant data about your construction projects.
You may apply for Scheme Partnership at a group level or as a subsidiary company of a group.
